Attorney G. Gregory Shadrix

BIO

Greg Shadrix was born and raised in Carrollton, Georgia. Greg graduated from the University of West Georgia (formerly West Georgia College) with highest honors with a B.A. degree. He earned his juris doctorate degree cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law and he achieved a Masters in Taxation from the Emory University School of Law.

Greg was admitted to the Georgia bar in June 1983. His law practice is concentrated on taxation, commercial transactions, estate planning, estate administration and real estate transactions. His AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell attests to his standing in the local legal community.

Greg has served in numerous civic and charitable organizations, to wit: Former Vice-President and Director of Carrollton Jaycees; former President of West Georgia College Alumni Association; former member of the Board of Directors of Carroll County Chapter of the American Cancer Society; former member of Carrollton Dawnbreakers Rotary Club; Chairman of 1993-1994 “A Day for West Georgia College” Annual Fund Drive; former member of the Board of Directors of First Georgia Banking Company; former member of the Board of Trustees of the University of West Georgia Foundation, having served one term as Secretary; member of initial Board of Directors of Carrollton City Schools Foundation; former advisory director of Regions Bank of Carroll County.

Greg and his wife, Melissa, have two children, Stan and Sydney, and are members of First United Methodist Church in Carrollton, Georgia.
