Charles “Met” Lane was born and reared in Carrollton, Georgia. Met graduated from Furman University with a B.A. degree. He attended the University of South Carolina Law School where he earned his juris doctorate degree. Met was admitted to the bar in October 2001. He was an Assistant District Attorney from 2002 to 2004. Met was admitted to the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court in 2002. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Georgia. Met and his wife, Corbett Lane, have two daughters and a son. The family is actively involved in First United Methodist Church in Carrollton. Met serves as a Carrollton city council member. Met supports local organizations and charities such as Habitat for Humanity. When not assisting his clients, Met enjoys spending time with his family.
